SUMO PERFORMANCES

CSA sumo wrestlers have appeared in over 15 films, 50 TV shows, 40 TV commercials, 120 live events, and more. CSA has worked with some of the greatest sumo legends at these events, including multiple projects each with Hawaiian legends Konishiki, Akebono, and Musashimaru, as well as with over 45 other professional sumo wrestlers.

World Class and World Champion sumo wrestlers can demonstrate some serious action, full leg splits, and comedic entertainment live or on screen. Some recent highlights include:

FILM
California Sumo Association directors have worked as consultants on several films, including “Memoirs of a Geisha” (2005, Columbia Pictures) and “Ocean's 13” (2007, Warner Brothers). CSA has brought sumo wrestlers from Japan, Mongolia, Hawaii, and elsewhere, to appear in movie sumo scenes. CSA has also worked extensively on set construction, props, wardrobe, and many other aspects of movie production.

TV
In over 50 TV shows, CSA sumo wrestlers have been featured, including appearances on many sports shows like “The Best Damn Sports Show Period”, “ESPN's Mohr Sports”, “Martial Arts TV”, and more. Other shows include “The New Tom Green Show”, “Mind of Mencia”, “True Life”, “Suite Life”, and numerous others. CSA has also been covered in over 75 TV news specials throughout the world.

CSA has a broad network of sumo wrestlers worldwide, who have been featured in many national and international TV commercials and print ads for products like automobiles, pharmaceuticals, banks, soft drinks, watches, fashion wear, sports products, foods, alcohol, insurance, and much more.

LIVE EVENTS
CSA has produced over 120 sumo exhibitions, demonstrations, lectures, and other live events in three countries and in six states throughout the U.S. Some exhibitions have been performed in stadiums in front of 30,000 people, while other demonstrations are performed for small groups at private events. CSA's educational lectures and exhibitions have been held at over a dozen high schools and universities.
